I am a native of Bladen County, North Carolina. Graduated UNC with a degree in art. Married to James Martin, 2 children, retired after teaching art for 20 years. This painting was done as an upcoming event is French-themed and Carolina Artists were asked to participate and create art related to France. (Days of Gratitude- remembering France's gifts to the U.S. following WW1)
